We removed the rocks now and gave them one mealworm and the jelly we've also introduced a few more workers

2x - F. pallidefulva
2x - C. cerasi
1x - B. depilis
2x P. imparis (colonies) 3x P. imparis queens (1x queen in test tube, 3x queens in test tube, and 6x queens in another test tube. Can't wait to see the results!)

ok, my mealworms are alive and we have been storing them in a wine fridge and we only have one jelly cup which is with the ants

Also when you take cut the meal worms into pieces make sure to take it out later.
We now know for sure that the queen has brood.

That’s pretty hard to answer with out macro lens (I don’t have one myself) so the best guess at least 20 minimum and 30 or so as maximum (since this is a fairly mature colony). If It were in founding stage, the minimum would be at least 12 and the maximum (usually but not always rare) 20 eggs in one batch.Of how many eggs?
