Thank you for mentioning this.  Clear communication along with skillful use of language should never be diminished or lessened.  I very much enjoy hearing well articulated statements.  We have a member of our work team who never utters an "um" in her diction.  She speaks with clarity and purpose and that is so refreshing.  Our written language, since it allows for pause and reflection let alone amendment and correction, should be much easier to master than speaking skills. Those of you who are in their teens and twenties reading this should endeavor to master proficiency and eloquence in your use of language, it is a scimitar that cuts cleanly.  I would add that mastering a second or third language advances the eloquence of ones mother tongue.  I personally have German, Arabic and Turkish in my cache of language skills. Learning German immensely assisted in my giving attention to acquire improved English expression.

I have not encountered any posts that I couldn't parse, so I'm worried it must be my posts that are the problem.

Kindly offered corrections can help people. That or a question for clarification.  Those of us who've never been spelling whizzes aren't always aware if our posts aren't clear and readable. Naturally if anyone is kind enough to make a correction, being graceful in response is also important. Can we do this without stepping on any feelings? I think we can.

Starting this July I'm posting videos of my ants every week on youTube.

I like to make relaxing videos that capture the joy of watching ants.

If that sounds like your kind of thing... follow me >here<

This message is not directed at anyone in particular. I didn’t even write the message; it was suggested as a gentle reminder by another long time user. Please don’t take it personal.

The spelling on this forum would be a lot worse if it wasn't for the huge list of misspellings and slang I have added to the auto-correct. I only do it for more important, subject-related words like names of species and whatnot. Correct spelling is important for when someone is searching the internet for information.

This is why you don't see a lot of words like pogo, as I have that auto-correcting to Pogonomyrmex.
