My refrigerator is failing

Hi everyone, I'm a new ant keeper in Vermont my Queen ant came to me during a hard time in my life and I've been giving her the best care so far. We have 5 workers healthy and all. But my refrigerator is failing. I have a storage unit I could house them in. Would that be safe it could get -16F degrees here. I'm thinking wrap them in a towel? They are the carpenter ants from Pennsylvania. I cannot spell their name for the life of me!

Camponotus pennsylvanicus. If it's cold/hibernation season, wrap them in a couple towels. Hope this helps
