does anyone know where it says that camponotus inflatus is illegal to collect or keep
been looking on the aus gov websites but havent found anything

From what I’ve heard, the whole thing about C. inflatus being a protected species is sort of a misconception. Its not that the species itself is illegal to keep, but rather that 99% of their recorded range is located in either national parks or indigenous reserves where collecting in general is banned.

ooooooooh that makes sense, so if i want it, ill have to find it outside of national park/indigenous reserves
