Hey everyone, I bought a Pogonomyrmex Occidentalis queen a few days ago and I'm expecting her to arrive tomorrow. I have only kept this species once before and I would like to try again. I was going to order from Tarheel but decided not to because, it's a bit expensive and I don't think he has single queens available so I bought from another seller. Excited for this queen. I'll post pics when I get her tomorrow.

Edit: The seller made a mistake in ID and shipped me a Pogonomyrmex badius queen with eggs.

Sorry guys for late update, yesterday was a rush. I got the queen and she looks perfect with at least 50 eggs and no larva. However she does not look like pogonomyrmex Occidentalis. Her thorax and head are more muscular and her head has very pronounced jaws. I'm going to make a topic in identification for more info on this queen. For reference the seller is in LA.

Well, now I am sure that it is not Occidentalis. I have asked other antkeepers for ID and came up with pogonomyrmex badius. I would agree with this one as the queens jaws are massive.
