1. Location of collection: Scituate, Massachusetts, USA
2. Date of collection: July 8, 2023
3. Habitat of collection: Suburban
4. Length: 4 mm - REALLY TINY
5. Coloration, hue, pattern and texture: Brownish yellow coloration
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Yellow and brown striped gaster, like a bee
7: Nuptial flight time: Before 2:30 PM

I believe this could be a temnothorax curvispinosus (acorn ant) queen but I’m not sure since I’ve never caught this genus before.

Temnothorax. Mett would know the exact species but my guess is curvispinosus or longispinosus.

Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?

There are so many fascinating ants right were you live!

I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that are not found in your area.
