I read the article connected to this picture and it was just as messed up. First of it says Atta and Acromymex are the two sub-speices of leaf cutter ants. They also said that workers are males. Also they don't specify information when needed like they made it seem that queens and males will grow wings even when they are adults. This have to have been made by a toddler.
Here is a link ig you want to loss brain cells: https://www.domyown....uide-a-801.html

It's most likely from some pest control business site. And to be honest, i've seen worse.

Pest control needs to be better educated on ants and other insects they deal with. Honestly.

Tell me if I’m wrong but I think they used a carebara diversa worker pic and a weaver ant pic.

It is a Carebara major but the "Male" is an Atta worker, not a Weaver ant.

This thread just destroyed 98% of my brain cells.

Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?

There are so many fascinating ants right were you live!

I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that are not found in your area.

Prepare to lose more.

Someone in the aak discord came up with this absolute gem.

Ah yes, Campolasius hercuniger, the dreaded wood-eating black garden carpenter ant and its trophobiotic symbiont, the drywood-sucking aphid Incistisiphon floyderi.

Not sure what "white ants" the article is talking about though. I guess they're referring to termites, but confusing wingless wasps and wingless roaches is like referring to a kangoroo as a mammal.

Also i'm not aware of a single termite species tending to aphids.

Oh, and for good measure - there are no Camponotus species in the UK.
