I was out in a kayak on Kootenay lake, and I saw a Queen ant that was quite small. I grabbed her and took her back to my house and made a test tube setup. I finally had time to take a good look at her and saw a queen of a species I have never seen before. I wondered is it possible that this is a new and undiscovered species? What are your thoughts?

let’s just say that it ain’t pleasant when a bunch of black bitey things fall on you when you pick up an old pot.

I personally hate them simply because they refuse to move. I collected part of a colony from a chunk of wood, dried it out, and placed it in a container with a test tube. This was around 2 months ago, and they still have not moved to that test tube.

However, they're fairly resilient and are all still alive...
