I havent got an ant colony yet but i will if I catch one and I am thinking of selling queen ants but I don't know where.  if any of you have any suggestions for me, like what species of ant to get or useful tips on how to catch queen ants at home.

Here in California, only in the desert you need rain before to catch queens, but anywhere else just a 85+ degrees day should do.
