Hey everyone, it's been a while but I finally got a lucky day in Riverside. Found 7 queens I suspect to be some species of Pogonomyrmex and I would love to get them ID'd to species. Thanks for all the help.
1. Location of collection: Riverside, CA
2. Date of collection: 6/16/23
3. Habitat of collection: Along the Santa Ana River wash
4. Length: 10mm
5. Coloration, hue, pattern and texture: Red with black stripes/spots on gaster, sparse hairs all over body
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Two petiole nodes, no thorn on thorax
8. Nest description: Multiple entrances near each other in sandy area
9. Nuptial flight time and date: No flight witnessed but queens found between 12:30-4:30 pm
