Hello experts, can I please get help identifying these ants 1/8 to 1/4 inch, active early AM and PM. When looking at them from above the top abdomen looks like it has a gray patch.  They are mostly under pavement slabs but also raise mounds on turf. Google image search results are citronella or crazy Caribbean but I'm not sure. thank you in advance.

Lasius subgenus I think. I'm not familiar with ants from the east.
