Is this possible? Can I encourage ants to drop off their dead in a specific spot, rather than on the vaseline barrier at the top of my formicarium? does anyone know if it's possible? thnx.

It depends a lot on species. Some ants drop their trash every which where, while others are naturally orderly. Having sticky stuff like vaseline around in the setup is an open invitation for ants to stick trash to it.

Having sticky stuff like vaseline around in the setup is an open invitation for ants to stick trash to it.
So could this be used to lure them to drop their trash somewhere in our favor?
Like a cotton ball or a piece of paper towel, with some vaseline on it?
And is there any risk of ants getting themselves stuck on the vaseline?
