I got 4 queens of Formica subsericea from another keeper in my state last year. I just pulled them from hibernation a few weeks ago. We should see workers in a less than a month since I have them under a heating lamp. I have never heard of much success with this species and multiple queens but I figured I'd give it a go.

I remembered today why I stopped keeping Formica sp. The queens ate almost all the larvae.  :facepalm:  Cannibals
