It is C. novaeboracensis.
Um, I barely even have any good photos left to use! Oh, here is a good one:

I keep: C. modoc, C. sansabeanus , C. maritimus, Formica argentea, M. mexicanus
, Odontomachus brunneus
, Pogonomyrmex californicus, Pogonomyrmex rugosus,
Yup, from the Formica fusca group, specifically F. subsericea.

I read your minds.I searched through every Pheidole and Camponotus species in Cali and compared them to your photos. It was a lot.
