Have seen a few of these flyers in my home since the weather warmed up. I've only ever seen them crawling and have never seen one actually flying. They don't seem too speedy and are easy to scoop into my hand to put outside.
Pretty certain they aren't carpenter ants given the lack of elbow'd antenna but I am super novice. Appreciate any help!

3. Habitat of collection: Indoor residential
4. Length: Unknown, .25" to .5"?
5. Coloration: Dark head body with lighter limbs
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Looks like single node, no elbow'd antennae, wings, light color legs with spurs
7. Anything else distinctive: Have never seen one flying in the home, only crawling. Never seen more than one at a time
8. Nest description: Unknown.
9. Nuptial flight time and date: NA
10 . Post the clearest pictures possible of the top, side, and face of the ant in question, and if possible, their nest and the habitat they were collected in.
