Also I think the species you're referring to is megacephala.

Yes, you do need your location in your profile.

I am not sure you know how hard and/or long it takes to get a permit for megacephala. But should be quicker and easier for xerophila

Keeps: Camponotus, Tetra

Wants (Please reach out if you have them for sale if you’re in the US): Acromyrmex Sp., Atta Sp., Cephalotes Sp., Myrmecocystus Sp (Prefer Mexicanus), Odontomachus Sp. (Prefer Desertorum), Pachycondyla Sp., Pheidole Sp (Prefer Rhea. The bigger the better. Not the tiny bicarinata), Pogonomyrmex Sp (Prefer Badius)., Pseudomyrmex Sp. (Prefer the cute yellow ones)

I doubt you will be approved for megacephala. They are invasive and are escape artist, so Cotten not tight enough they will escape. I think permits can take around a year for invasives, especially ones that multiply and mature quickly.

You won’t be needing a permit for ants if the person catching/selling them is in California. You only need them if you’re buying or shipping from out-of-state.
