You know that there is plenty of lasius species in North America, Care wise, the only big difference between the L. flavus group and the L. niger group is the fact that one one them lives under the ground and the other lives above the ground, so at one point choosing lasius is like choosing the colour of your backpack, so don’t be super fixated on getting that one species. If you read some multi species journals on this forum you’ll notice that people settle for ants that are closely related to the species that they are looking for.
Just saying, if you choose a parasitic species of lasius, that is a whole different topic.
Also if I am not mistaken, the lasius sp you are looking for don’t fly until mid June, so I don’t expect you to find any in shops right now…

1x Formica subsericea, 35-40 workers + BIG brood pile + 10 pupa.
1x Crematogaster cerasi, 1 workers + finally some bigger brood (The worker that was dying died
