So I recently got a Veromessor sp identified as Chicoensis by reignofrage. These guys are only found in northern California which is exiting. I had found a spot here for them also. But anyways I had found some inside of a pool at the spot and collected two dead queens I had found in there. There was a ton of dead queens in that pool.

Gonna add more stuff tomorrow since I have school.

Yea I can't wait to catch these guys. I will be selling some if I have extra colonies when I get some queens.

I would love to buy one if you get some. I plan on hunting for Veromessor pergandei and dorymyrmex in Feb/March and hopefully extra to sell too lol.

I'm gonna start working on this thread more. I have 2 dead queens of Veromessor chicoensis. I had asked Brian L. Fisher if they had specimens and he replied saying no! So I will be shipping out 2 dead queens to him. I also will possibly be catching a flight. They fly around late June. I had found the queens inside of a pool on June 29th 2021. I will be staying at the spot for at least 2 weeks around the time they fly. They also fly at night too. So I will have to be out all night checking to see if they are flying yet or not. I also have no idea what seeds they will accept too. They also may hibernate (likely) but we are still not to sure about it.

Edit pic will be added soon

Genus name should be capitalized.

Keep ordinary ants in extraordinary ways.
