I got a package of Acromyrmex versicolor today and the shipping was fast and very well done. He shipped them in a temp control box with a cool pack and in there were permits. My overall experience was great and I’ll definitely be purchasing again.

I got my acromrymex and they came in rough shape. The queens died and they asked me some questions and sent me a new one. This time they came in perfect condition.

My Acromyrmex arrived perfectly packaged, fast and healthy, sadly all the fungus died a few days after, likely from something I did wrong. Nonetheless, still satisfied by the customer service, temp controlled box and the goods!   :)

I received some ants in person and everything was great -- super healthy ants, packaged well, and some very generous extras

10/10 would do business with again!

eight stars. My Atta Texana colony arrived safely and none were dead but the reason that I'm giving eight stars is because the container the ants were in weren't that good. They came in a plastic cup with a moldy cotton inside. Luckily I could move them into a proper setup immediately.

4/10. I ordered right after they moved to a new facility, so everything was delayed. It was also around Thanksgiving, so my order was delayed again. I finally got my ants recently, but the byFormica feeders I ordered with them have not arrived. They have also not responded to my emails (strangely, they responded to the first email I sent within ten minutes, but not the other ones). To top it off, the deliveryman threw the package at my door, but that isn't a problem with AntsEmporium. On a positive note, the ants had many more workers than expected.

Edit:

7/10. I have received the feeders and they also made up for the delays with some extra items.

2/10 review
I recently bought from Ants Emporium a Neoponera villosa colony. I picked up the package immediately once it arrived. I was very happy to see that the Neoponera villosa queen had survived the trip. Unfortunately, 1 hour later after I received the package, I checked on the queen to see how she was doing and found she was dead. I immediately emailed Ants Emporium to make sure to get a refund within the 3-hour refund time range. I will quote "If your order arrived dead, you must email us at sales@antsemporium.com within 3 hours of delivery with your order number and a picture of the colony." I included my name and a picture of the queen. I did forget to put the order number, but I still should've received an email by now saying anything like "You forgot to include your order number" or at least some form of reply. It's been 24 hours now since I sent their email and still no reply. I understand that there may be a delayed response, so I'll wait and see if I get a response. If in the end there's no answer or a refund isn't given, I'll write here to let you guys know.

Hello, figured we would address our side of the story to avoid confusion. As a seller situations like this really do bother me, mainly because it seems the validity of the claims are always skewed

First and foremost it has not been 24 hours since you initially emailed. It had only been 8 hours at the time you wrote your review.

I will include the original email communication now.

j5Ksg-M3TeZjN5fvi28k52C7hsJEhiVmG1ogWnBE

As you can see the original email was sent this morning at 6:21 am. The order was delivered yesterday at 11:14am.

o38haSVB03bOHKhCim0kb_nBKWrVNZI-x9ei4lyO

This leaves a 19 hour gap in communication between delivery and of course your original email.

"I immediately emailed Ants Emporium to make sure to get a refund within the 3-hour refund time range." You did not in-fact do this, as shown above it had been over 19 hours since delivery and initial contact. Also you stated, "It's been 24 hours now since I sent their email and still no reply" when again it has been now at the time of writing this 9 hours since you originally emailed. Apologies it has taken 9 hours to get back to you, but in no way shape or form is this an unreasonable response time.

Furthermore, they were sent inside a formicarium perfectly suited for Neoponera villosa, and you moved them into a dry test-tube with a genesis test tube insert, no access to a foraging area or standing water which they require. Even though you did not follow our stores policies, we will coordinate the next steps privately through email.

Garret I want to come clean and be the bigger man here.
I lied it did die today, I’m so sorry for this it’s just I’ve never had a ant die this fast on me and well I thought it was your fault so I wanted a refund. I don’t want you to look like the bad guy in fact your shop is pretty good and I would say it’s one of the best live ant online stores in the US. If you get mad I understand and it’s my fault. But the neoponera did die this morning

You’re not really being the bigger man; you just got busted, that’s all. It’s good you came clean, though.

I bought multiple times from this store. The first time I did, I recieved a wrong ant but AntsEmporium was quick to give me support to solve the situation. The next few times arrived quickly. I give this store a 10/10.
