I do not have many superworms left and since most of my colonies don't like superworms, I definitly have a part of the superworm left. I don't want to throw that part away when there might be a way to preserve it until further use. Has anyone ever tried this or have any expeirience on this? Anything would be helpfull :D.

Just pop the part(s) into a plastic vial and stick it in the freezer until needed. It'll probably last a few weeks or so until it goes bad.

-Monomorium spp.

-Pogonomyrmex californicus

-Solenopsis spp.

Ok, how would I know it went bad?

Oh yea, and by the way, do I put the superworm in the frozen area or the other section where it is just a bit less cold (sorry if this is a very bad description of my freezer).

It won’t go bad in the freezer

Nothing can stay fresh indefinitely. And exposed meat is no exception. I doubt that it'll be in the freezer for longer than a few days though.

Nothing can stay fresh indefinitely. And exposed meat is no exception. I doubt that it'll be in the freezer for longer than a few days though.
True, but ants aren’t even half as sensitive as we are about spoilage. Most foods wild colonies eat must be in various stages of fermentation or spoilage. I wouldn’t sweat that at all. Worst thing that could happen would be the foods drying out and becoming unappetizing to the ants.
