Would love help ID'ing this Southeastern Wisconsin Ant Queen

Looks like a Myrmentoma group Camponotus queen (C. nearcticus or C. caryae) judging by her size compared to your fingernails.

Also, I am fairly certain that 35mm is a tad high, unless this is the largest Camponotus species in the US and you have enormous fingers. Might be worth double-checking... Go to the full post

Hi! This is my first wild caught queen and I'm super excited!

 

I live in Southeastern Wisconsin, she was wandering on the pavement by herself. Approximately 20 mm.

that’s definitely not myrmentoma. Way too large. It’s probably camponotus herculeanus or pennsylvanicus.

Yes! Sorry I mis-measured her. She's more like 20 mm.
