I'm in brooklyn new york and looking for Tetramorium immigrans. I would like the ants shipped and ill pay for shipping.

Lasius niger is not present in New York. If you're looking for a native Lasius species, I'm sure there are people with L. americanus or L. neoniger in the area. There is also the exotic L. emarginatus in NYC which is quite an interesting Lasius species.

ok thx i switched to Tetramorium immigrans because i was told they are beginner friendly, common, and fast growing.

Lasius emarginatus is common in Brooklyn, I see them all the time and I have a 200 worker colony

where do you look? Like do u just go out on the sidewalk and look for ants or do you go to a park or something?

Depends on what species you are looking for. Some species prefer natural areas and some like urban areas.
