I have just read Journey to the Ants, but does anyone know about any more good ant nests.

Yes, many. Some of my personal favorites are "army ants: nature's ultimate social hunters," and "the ants." The latter is my personal favorite and is basically a myrmecology bible, at over 700 pages long and packed with information. However, the book is quite expensive, around 200 dollars. Definitely worth it though.
