It's probably just me, but I'd rather have Anochetus than Odontomachus. I like small species.

Anochetus are obscure no matter where you go though. At least odontos are easy to find.

Then it'd be more rewarding if you have them.

UPDATE #2
They have moved from there initial nest and moved to another one created by the worker. They have a pretty spiny larvae :D .Hope it grows to a pupae

. They have been thoroughly enjoyed the soil nest.

i bet that is correct.

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8

Wdym? Do you mean in Cali or an Indian species? If you mean a species in Cali then why would it be illegal? But the population there is right on the border with Arizona I believe (Someone please confirm)? I doubt you'd find them. Collecting in another state and bringing it across the border would be illegal though.

They have begun to cross the border so if you found a queen in the arizona border area on the california side it would be legal but if you went over the border and got a ueen and brought it back then that would be illegal.

They havent crossed the border. They've already done that a long time ago, if they have any sort of population here at all. If we do indeed have odontomachus, they aren't a new presence, just an overlooked one.

Ponerine is saying that if they are in california, it isn't that they recently crossed the border, it's that they haven't been found yet.

I didn’t mean that they had begun recently but in the sense that I have heard of spottings of queens near the border.

Thx. Dinosaurs are cool but the only way to obtain them is by catching the whole colony and many colonies don't have the gamergate. Plus,a few times I tried to supply a colony with a unfertilized gamergate a male they didn't even give it a second thought.
