Hey guys,I found this queen right next to the mountain,Huuge nuptial day for messor today but I also found her.She looks black to the eye,the mountain is mainly dry besides winter months and does not have a lot of vegetation.Thank you:) measurement is in mm

Possibly apheanogaster but I’m not sure of the subspecies.

Could be Apheanogaster senilis.

None of those sub species are listed in greece in ant wiki

they could have migrated there.

I doubt a species from North Africa/Spain would be able to move all the way to Greece without help from humans, so I would say that's very unlikely, plus there are 18 recorded native species in Greece and I'm sure many look similar to this one
