What are good formicariums for Acromyrmex that are being sold or do you guys have any DIY suggestions. My Acromyrmex are getting so big so fast. I didn't expect this after my last colony failed horribly after 5 months.

I think the best types are natural or acrylic boxes with a grout or hydro stone base with a water tower, maybe.

That is a very cool lab experiment that turned into a machine that then decided to look like a hamster cage. No offense, it actually looks coo though.

Ants I have:

1 Formica fusca group- 0 workers

1 Tetramorium immigrans colony-20 workers

1 Dorymyrmex insanus- 1 queen, used to have workers

 

1 large P. occidentalis colony- around 50 workers, plenty of brood

idk, you can see everyone’s usernames from the post so i don’t see an special point to doing it. perhaps its just something people do for no specific reason
