As Formiculture begins to slow down for the winter, I would like to say that I sincerely hope that everyone here has had the best of ant keeping experiences this past year, and that they only keep getting better in the years to come.

Also what was good about this year was that we had more time to find queens and were able to go to the park more because we had more time or any other place you hinted for ants. I plan on keeping my Pogonomyrmex journal open throughout winter since they are not hibernating.

I had my best year yet keeping ants and enjoying insects in general. I'm so thankful for this hobby, and, in fact, I think I am going to write a book about ant-keeping to share my experiences. I think there is a void out there that I could fill.

Well, I successfully kept not one, but two Neivamyrmex colonies this year, kept a thriving colony of Trachymyrmex, and just learnt a ton in general. I also started (and am currently finishing) my 5th year of antkeeping.
