I would not recommend founding such a tiny species in a mini-hearth. Do a test tube, or if you really want them happy, a dirt set up.

I was planning in introducing claviger host workers to her the one in the mini hearth around at least 15 host workers one at a time do you think that will work? I’ll chill the workers first though and if I can find some I’m going to give her cocoons or whatever lasius I can find.

Also I feel that the lasius queen woulda do good in there despite the size because I know that THA doesn’t really matter when it comes to how big the nest is because all ants like it.

i would not introduce claviger workers to neoniger queen, if that is what you mean.

Lasius neoniger are not parasitic and should not be given parasitic host workers in any case. Let her found her colony like you would any other fully claustral queen. The  neoniger queens will most likely not lay any eggs until after a few months in hibernation.

Yeah, that should work. However don't be surprised if the queen kills the workers once they eclose.
