Buddy is also new to the hobby like me, and caught this queen while doing work in his backyard. He lives in a very suburban area , the closest natural habitat would be some canyons with thick vegetation a few miles away. Was caught on Thursday 9/10 during the evening. He's kept it in a test tube tucked away and it's already laid an egg

I second this.


Ants I have: Tapinoma sessile(2 queen colony). RED MORPH Camponotus neacticus(now has pupae!), Tetramorium immigrans (x3), Aphaenogaster sp, Temnothorax sp, Brachymyrmex sp.   possibly infertile   :(,  Ponera pennsylvanica, and Pheidole morrisi!  :yahoo: 

 

Other insects: Polistes sp. Queen

                    

Ants I need: Pheidole sp., Trachymyrmex sp., Crematogaster cerasi , Dorymyrmex sp. Most wanted: Pheidole morrisii
