Dang, I wonder why they're struggling? Hopefully some rest will rejuvenate the queen.

Dang, I wonder why they're struggling? Hopefully some rest will rejuvenate the queen.
For a few weeks I had them way overheated and the egg mortality skyrocketed, so I'm guessing she either did lay a ton of eggs and now is too exhausted to keep that up, or is actually permanently damaged from the heat. If she can recover, this little rest might be able to get it done. I've also been seeing a hefty amount of workers dead in the outworld, but it's probably age since most are doing fine.

That queen is pretty swole! I just got first workers with a new Crematogaster queen.
Yeah, it took a bit but she's definitely getting there. Next year she'll probably be massive.

You should make a journal on your queens, would love to hear about your experiences with them.
Will do. I will try to find some time here in the next month. The main species would be Lasius Subumbratus so if anybody out there wants to see a queen with soon to be workers let me know.
