Maybe Camponotus sayi?

 

1. Location (on a map) of collection: Cave Creek, AZ

2. Date of collection: 7/4/2020
3. Habitat of collection: Desert scrub
4. Length (from head to gaster): 11mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Red-Orange head and thorax, Black gaster
6. Distinguishing characteristics: one petiole node, 11 antennae segments
7. Distinguishing behavior: N/A
8. Nest description: N/A

9. Nuptial flight time and date: I saw a lot of Camponotus males on my black light the other night, so probably 7/3/2020

Yes, sayi, assuming C. hyatti queens don't have a fully red and thorax.
