LOTS of brown paper wasp around my yard.But I don't keep them.

I think I'll try it this year. It's not my original idea. I looked it up and they have been kept in captivity before. They are voracious eaters. It sounds fairly easy. Make sure they always have water and plenty of food to feed their larva. There is a great write up about it on the Internet.

Yes I have tried my hand at wasp relocations before, but just Yellow jackets, and only Free-Ranging. So far I'm trying to work on a way to Free-Range Ants :P

I'm going to try keeping wasps this year also.  I have yet to locate a colony though...

Camponotus fragilis

Novomessor cockerelli

Pogonomyrmex montanus

Pogonomyrmex rugosus

Manica bradleyi

I was hoping for a better one sorry, that site is like crashing out [the admins aren't ever there and the site deleted old pictures :( ] There was an amazing thread about a wasp nest relocation last year.

I just need to find a suitable enclosure or build one. I've got 2 queen paper wasps just waiting for me to collect them.
