Today I found this huge Anthophora bee nesting site. There were hundreds of nests with bees coming in and out to stock their brood cells.

A Tripartite Sweat Bee I came across on 4/6/25 while I was visiting some vineyards in San Luis Obispo.

I love sweat bees, used to make refuges for them when it rains, it actually worked!

Currently keeping:

 

1x Formica subsericea, 35-40 workers + maybe eggs

1x Crematogaster cerasi, only queen now, workers ded   :facepalm:*internal screaming*

1x Myrmica ruba sp around 10 workers + pupa

*New* 1x  founding Camponotus pennsylvanicus + eggs that die (probably infertile)

*New* 2x Camponotus nova, one is infertile

*As you watch your ants march, remember that every thing begins with a small step and continued by diligence and shared dreams*

Found this tiny bee flying around today.
No idea what it is but it looked cool so I took a picture. Maybe 5-6 millimeters.
I had more pictures but they were too blurry.

Found a huge queen wasp today. I'm going to post on the id section to see what it was.

The carpenter bee looks so cute in the crevice your hand is forming lol

Honeybee swarm in South Korea! It's my first time seeing one and I knew I had to run back home to grab my phone for some pictures!

They were swarming in a dry drainage ditch so I'm a little worried for them. Hopefully there won't be rain!

 

Also, they happened to swarm on an ant trail, so I could sometimes see them nipping at each other.
