How to get polistes to initiate a nest?

I have 3 polistes dominula queens in 2 different standard setups and i was wondering how i get them to initiate a nest. Does feeding or sunlight help? Thanks!

I believe they need wood to start building as the nests consist of wood and saliva.

Not that wood is too hard to come by, or anything.
Also, I can see why you put this in this sub forum, but shouldn’t this be in off-topic still?

I know that this was years ago, however I see that you are still an active member and am curious if you were ever able to get any of your colonies going?

They only last one year and die in the winter so no.
