I went to a park yesterday and it looks like the ants have finally waken up from hibernation. I've been looking for about a month and these are the first workers I've seen.
I wanna get my hands on some Campontus Pennsylvanicus or Ponera Pennsylvanica Queens!:D

I don't think they will be OK in a Omni nest. Maybe something more natural like THA formicariums or make one yourself. :)

I do not own an Omni nest, but I do own several acrylic nests from other retailers on aliexpress. since they do well in acrylic testubes I might move them into my verticle nest. it has rough flooring which should allow the ants to walk without falling or sliding.

Sorry, I guess I didn't see that. I'm only 12, but yeah we could get together sometime in like some state inbetween us like New York or New Jersey. Probably during the summer holidays though, since I'm usually not free on weekends.

that's fine, I have been trying to get in touch with antkeepers in my area, but sadly there are not many. if you would prefer, we could meet in the summer at a local trail of your choice. we can can go anting together
