Nice formatting, nice pics. Going to go with Pheidole megacephala dentata.

edit: Thanks, NickAnter!

I have at least 8 species in my front and backyard. Truckloads of argentines, two species of Hypoponera, Nylanderia vividula, Pheidole navigans, two species of Cardiocondyla, and Brachymyrmex patagonicus.

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.

However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:

Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

I have at least 7, including Lasius neoniger, Lasius americanus, Formica montana, an unidentified Formica sp., Dorymyrmex insanus, Solenopsis molesta, and Brachymyrmex depilis. There’s probably more, though.

I have found 68 confirmed species in my yard so far. A lot of the ones I find are StrumigenysHypoponera and other small ants and are hard to ID, so the number is actually quite low compared to what I have actually seen out there. I've probably seen close to 75-77 species in my yard in total.
