Ok, thank you. I will try that. I do feed them a fare amount, but I usually feed them every couple days.

Update #8 -some great development- and my sister started keeping ants!

Hello,

Formica Montana-

Well, as I have said, I caught these guys on June 24th if this year, and ever since then, they have been doing great. They have 1 worker, 5 forth-3rd stage larva, and around 10 eggs (See pictures below). So far, I have only fed them honey and a cricket leg. I’m hoping they will have another 5 workers here in the next couple weeks:)

Campenotus Pennsylvanicus-

These guys eat a lot, and my mistake is always not feed I gotta them enough  but, I think the queen has laid some more eggs, so that’s good. Besides that, nothing much has changed.

Nylanderia Terricola-

Well, my sister caught a very small queen, which ai believe is Nylanderia Terricola, back in June, and decided to keep it. They have been thriving, and have 5 ants, and LOTS of brood (See pictures below). I will keep you guys updated. And, please let me know what kind of ant it might be from the pictures, thanks!

I told you the 'Prairie Ants' were Nylanderia terricola. Might want to edit that.

Also, reading this to find out more about Nylanderia

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8

Also remember to edit your last update. They're Nylanderia terricola, not 'Prairie Ants;.

Hey guys! Man, it's been a while since I have posted on FC, but I think I will update my journal at least one more time before spring. I'm going to try to post here in the next few days. Hope you all are doing well. -Thunder_Birds
