Hey, i recently got into the hobby and have caught myself a nice Ochetellus Queen.  Over the last month she has been busy laying her eggs and recently being being cared for by her first two workers.12650903_185350118493715_390757250321277

I'm pretty sure this is actually a small Camponotus colony. Also, where'd you get that nest? It's a really old Tar Heel Ants Haven.

Looks like it has the small white down stem for a syringe that leads to the nest.

No pictures today as not much has changed, one more worker has been added to the colony and they seem happy to venture around the nest. I purchased a microscope camera so soon I will be posting some nice close ups of the gang.(Once it arrives around the 25th of this month

Just a quick picture today. Colony has grown to four members who are dotting over a pile of eggs and their queen.
