Hey there guys, this is the kid you call Jason at The Ant Farm and Myrmecology Forum. Hopefully I will be able to divide my time between there and this newer forum, but lately I haven't been able to do much on the old forum, so I don't know how active I will be on this forum initially.

Some things you should know about me:

I am a college student in southwestern Pennsylvania, studying ecology & evolution and classics, and not being particularly good at either.

I keep a few ants but also have been very much into rearing leps and katydids since this summer.

I can do ant IDs, but since I've become active on the internet, many other European and North American users have also joined with more time and expertise. I'll comment on ID threads if I think I can add something to the ID. If you want any other insect IDs in general, I can help with that too.

In my spare non-insect and non-Internet time, I watch some TV. I particularly like British crime dramas, Legend of Korra, and some anime. I also nap and doodle a lot in my more boring classes.

I'll be looking forward to seeing how this forum does and in what direction it will go; it looks like this is off to a good start, so keep it up guys!

Thanks for joining uso, glad to see you here!

I live in southeastern Pennsylvania. Maybe we can share some of the ants we have found and help each other out.
I wanna get my hands on some Campontus Pennsylvanicus or Ponera Pennsylvanica Queens!:D

Welcome! I can almost relate to you except many times I do things for no apparent reason.

This thread is a year and a half old. Uso was amazing at IDing ants, but unfortunately he seems to have moved on.
