No. Just because the seed's growth is stunted doesn't mean it's not there. ;)

Still a fruit even though the reproductive potential may not be there, and regardless all of our modern fruits and vegetables have been genetically modified.

A fruit is the ripened ovary of a plant, whose sole purpose is to supply those seeds with nourishment until they germinate. The ovary ripens once the female parts of the plant are impregnated with sperm cells on pollen from another plant.

Forget the "are tomatoes fruits or vegetables" argument. How can we know that if we don't know if fruits are fruits or vegetables?  :lol:
