Does Pogonomyrmex Californicus do BEST in dirt setups?

You can usually get springtails from places that supply CUC (Clean Up Crews) for vivariums. I got mine from NEHERP - Folsomia candida. They reproduce by parthenogenesis and in some of my isopod bins the entire surface is just crawling with them....
