Mississippi State is the only (to my knowledge) university to offer an undergraduate biochemistry major and entomology concentration. You study entomology as part of your course load in addition to “regular” chemistry courses.
I mention this because graduate programs (which entomology degrees usually are) oftentimes select students with majors in subjects like biochemistry and molecular biology over those who don’t.
Additionally, the Mississippi Entomological Museum, a fairly well-known research “station” with thousands of specimens, is located on their entomology building. Mississippi State is very strong in both undergraduate and graduate entomology.
Cornell University is also incredibly renowned for its entomology programs. Especially on the graduate and postdoctoral level. Many professors who teach entomology actually have degrees from Cornell.
Many of the other land grant schools in the US offer entomology majors, too. Purdue University, Texas A&M, and Ohio State are a few that come to mind.
