Hello guys and thank you for clicking on this thread! Today i went ant hunting with a friend of mine and we didn't come home with much, but I do think I caught a Leptothaorx dealate! I was wondering if if these guys are semi claustral or need any different or special care? I'm pretty sure they are fully claustral but its always better to be safe rather then sorry.

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.

However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:

Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

I'm pretty sure leptothorax lay after hibernation but I might be wrong.

They can lay before as well. All mine have. Just fed mine fruit flies.
