Species being kept:
Solenopsis "plebeius", Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus maritimus, Formica cf. subaenescens, Formica cf. aerata, Lasius cf. americanus, Lasius aphidicola, Lasius brevicornis, Lasius nr claviger, Nylanderia vividula, Temnothorax rudis and a Hypoponera sp.
Hoping to find this year:
Myrmecocystus, Liometopum occidentale, Camponotus essigi, Camponotus fragilis, Manica bradleyi, Formica perpilosa, Pheidole hyatti, and a Parasitic Formica sp.

This is not an ID post thank you. I'd rather not clog up my market place with identification but here you go.
I caught these up near Mt. Baldy around a month ago. I did ID them under a microscope last week and I saw exactly 3 basal teeth as well as an abundance of erect hairs on the scapes. I compared my findings to AntWiki and it seems they are almost identical. So yes, I am positive these are Lasius niger. If for some reason you would like to continue this conversation you can go ahead and PM me.
