Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.
However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:
Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

This is not an ID post thank you. I'd rather not clog up my market place with identification but here you go.
I caught these up near Mt. Baldy around a month ago. I did ID them under a microscope last week and I saw exactly 3 basal teeth as well as an abundance of erect hairs on the scapes. I compared my findings to AntWiki and it seems they are almost identical. So yes, I am positive these are Lasius niger. If for some reason you would like to continue this conversation you can go ahead and PM me.

Purchased a nice colony from AP, I highly recommend him. His packaging and promptness in shipping was superb.

When are the Solenopsis Xyloni going to be available?
Looks like I'm a bit late, apologies I did not see this sooner. Solenopsis xyloni colonies will most likely be available within the coming weeks.
