Found midday in a forest area with ponds and streams. Nest is about the size of a quarter with a small mound of dirt surrounding the entrance, it looks very similar to a Tetramorium nest.

 

These are worker ant pics. They have a light color that is yellowish and what i would call a large heart shaped abdomen. About 3-4mm long.

 

I really love the look of these ladies!

Lasius sp. probably L. neoniger.

To me it looks like L. americanus.

Lasius americanus don't have the same tendency to construct the cone sand mounds typical to Tetramorium and L. neoniger. I don't think you can get a definitive ID from these pictures.
