101 Likes! Thanks everyone, but not just for the likes. I've learned a lot about antkeeping from this forum and I can't wait to get started. Keep up the good work!

Honestly, to say nature's waste disposal system is efficient is very much an understatement.

I hope dermy lives on: he is truly the spirit of what this forum once was and shall never be again.

Let's all remember to give thanks to nature's cleanup crew; the detritivores, scavengers, decomposers, and whatnot. Sure, most of them might be disgusting, oozing, nasty little creepy-crawlies, but this world would be quite unpleasant without them. So let's take a moment to give credit to the hideous creatures that keep our world not so hideous! :D

Received a Tetramorium colony in the mail yesterday with a sizable number of workers and new brood!

Are you going to make a journal on them? ANTDrew would love to help anyone who has Tetra questions!

Currently rearing a polygynous colony of solonopsis Sp. Not too active mid-hibernation.

If any of you have heard of this "Xenobot" thing, don't get excited. It isn't alive, it's not an organism, and it never will be. It has no consciousness, it can't feel pain (or anything), it doesn't have feelings or free will. It's just a robot and nothing more.

Disclaimer: Take everything I say with a grain of salt until I actually have some antkeeping experience...
