On July 27th 2017 I caught 3 solenopsis molesta queens in some wood chippings on a play ground, there aren't many journals/ videos on these ants so I've decided to make one and will document their growth for quite some time.

Just cause they are laying eggs doesnt always mean they are fertile. I still wish you the best of luck

The queens are doing very well, they have a very large brood pile and maybe a few eclosing workers. I think I see eyes but I'm not sure.

Sweet dude, yeah that species is small I would definitely take precautions trying to contain them, and they love honey I fed a wild colony some honey and they devoured it. https://photos.app.g...3ANS5VmVV6QxQx1 and a few hours later https://photos.app.g...tcdiBe9tU4cxe12

I also have S. molesta I've caught. Only one survived, but her eggs are growing so she's fertile. Maybe its just the camera, but I want to point out that to me, those don't look like S. molesta. S. molesta are extremely tiny and yellow.
