Hello, I joined this forum around a month or so ago, but I forgot to do an introduction. I became fascinated with ants after several videos on them on the YouTube channel Antscanada last year and now I am collecting as many queen ants as I can find. So far I have a tetrimorium Caespitum colony, an Aphaenogaster Occidentals, and a lasius queen (I think it's either neoniger or niger) I used to have a camponotus queen with no workers and colony of the same species. Sadly my camponotus colonies queen died of unknown causes, and I joined that colony with my queen less queen. The joining worked, but later I found that some type of fungi killed that queen, and my colony of workers truly became queen less. Also used to have another Tetrimorium queen with one worker but she died in hibernation. The good news is that the tetrimorium colony I have now is from combing the workers of the dead queen to my worker less queen, and it worked. Over here in Seattle are there are lots of Formica and Lasius species. Thanks for reading this!
