Lava rock?

What do you guys think of cutting Lava rock with a tile saw? Lava rock is pourus so it should hold water. Then you can use a Dremel tool to carve out the inside...

I think it would probably work a lot like all the other popular materials, so I would look at the availability and price to decide whether it seems like a good option.
